Childrens Center for Cancer and Blod Diseases
Our mission is to increase the cure rate and long-term quality of life for children and adolescents with cancer and blood diseases by rapidly developing and integrating new research discoveries into strong, multidisciplinary treatment programs focused on the needs of this unique population.
Cancer Treatment and Research
The Childrens Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases (CCCBD) is one of the nation’s largest pediatric hematology/oncology programs. Its physicians are recognized as leaders in their fields, its treatments set the standard of care and its research is recognized worldwide.
At Childrens Hospital, researchers and clinical teams work hand-in-hand to quickly bring their groundbreaking discoveries from “bench to bedside.” The bridges between the two research areas are made possible by innovative physician-scientists who are experts in both environments.
The CCCBD is the only pediatric cancer center in the nation that serves as the headquarters of four multi-institutional groups that study new treatments for the most common and deadly forms of childhood cancer.
